Made with ingredients we can name, explain, and stand behind.
We make body care the way we want to use it ourselves: straightforward formulas, recognizable ingredients, and a clear reason for everything we put in. Every product and variant lists its complete formula, so you can see exactly what you’re choosing.
Our formulas are intentionally short. We leave out extras they do not need and name the ingredients that give each product its texture, scent, and character. We are proud of what goes into our products—and equally clear about what does not.
Rooted in nature
EKGIS formulas begin with botanical oils and extracts, mineral ingredients, beeswax, grass-fed tallow, and other plainly disclosed materials. Jojoba and castor oils, frankincense and myrrh resins, shea butter, and carefully chosen botanical scent materials are part of that approach.
You will find the ingredients for our latest formulas on each product page. We want you to understand the choices behind them and choose the formula that fits your everyday routine.
Every ingredient named
Each product page lists the complete ingredients for the latest formula. When a scent or size has a different formula, the list changes with the selected variant. Botanical scent materials are named individually, so you can see which oil, extract, or oleoresin gives a variant its character.
For the latest formula, directions, and warnings, visit the product page and select your variant. For a product you already have, follow its label. This page explains the standards behind those choices.
Our current formulas draw from a deliberately limited set of materials:
- plant oils, seed oils, flower oils, extracts, and oleoresins;
- botanical resins such as frankincense and myrrh;
- mineral ingredients and clays, including magnesium hydroxide, zinc oxide, and kaolin;
- arrowroot powder, shea butter, and beeswax;
- grass-fed beef tallow in Tallow Body Cream; and
- tocopherol and bakuchiol in the formulas where they are listed.
For the product in your hands, its label comes first. Our website shows the latest formula, which may differ from the formula used when your product was made. Use the ingredient list, directions, and warnings on your own product’s label. If the label is unclear or you have questions about an earlier batch, contact us and we will help.
What we intentionally leave out
Across our current formulas, EKGIS does not intentionally add:
- generic fragrance or parfum blends;
- parabens;
- artificial dyes or colorants;
- silicones;
- mineral oil or petrolatum;
- PEG ingredients;
- phenoxyethanol;
- formaldehyde-releasing preservatives;
- triclosan or triclocarban; or
- added water.
We do not intentionally add phthalates or PFAS. We also avoid raw materials identified as containing PFAS or having known PFAS contamination concerns. This describes our formulation and sourcing choices, not a laboratory guarantee of zero trace amounts.
Short formulas let us be specific. We can name what we use, explain its place in the product, and show you what we leave out. The ingredient list for your selected product and variant is always there to help you make that choice.
Scent, plainly explained
Our scented variants get their character from the named botanical oil, extract, or oleoresin in the ingredient list. You can choose a scent you enjoy and see exactly what creates it.
Unscented means no added scent profile. It can still have the natural aroma of its base ingredients. Tallow, resins, clove bud oil, plant oils, and waxes each have their own character. That is why we describe these variants as unscented.
If you are sensitive to a particular botanical or scent material, check the selected variant’s full list before choosing. We are happy to help you find it.
Paper, glass, and the details that matter.
We choose paper, glass, and metal for our main packaging, with a few practical components that help keep each product protected and easy to use:
- Deodorant: a paper/cardboard tube.
- Our jars: glass with metal lids and a plastic insert to help prevent leaks.
- Facial Serum: a glass bottle and glass dropper, with a rubber top and plastic cap.
We continue looking for practical ways to reduce plastic while keeping each product protected during storage, shipping, and everyday use. Packaging components can change, and we will help you identify the materials in a current package if you have questions.
Recycling options vary by location, especially for mixed-material components. Check your local program’s instructions before putting packaging in the recycling bin.
Concentrated formulas. Simple care.
Our current formulas have no added water. They are oils, creams, sticks, and salves with their own textures and product-specific directions. Follow the amount and application instructions for the formula you choose.
Use clean, dry hands, close the package after use, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. All EKGIS products are for external use only.
Find what works for you
Choosing body care is personal. Review the exact ingredient list, patch test before regular use, and follow the directions and warnings. Natural ingredients can still cause sensitivities; stop using a product if irritation occurs.
We can help with ingredients, scent, texture, and how to use a product. If you have an allergy, a medical concern, or questions about use during pregnancy, nursing, or for a child, share the ingredient list with your healthcare professional for advice that fits your situation.
Questions we answer plainly
Where can I find the complete ingredients?
For a product you already have, use the ingredient list on its label. The website lists the latest formula for your selected variant, which may differ from the formula used when your product was made. If you are shopping for a new product, check the selected scent and size on its product page.
Do you add phthalates or PFAS?
We do not intentionally add phthalates or PFAS. We also avoid raw materials identified as containing PFAS or having known PFAS contamination concerns. This describes our formulation and sourcing choices, not a laboratory guarantee of zero trace amounts.
Will an unscented product have a smell?
It may. Unscented means no added scent profile; the base ingredients can retain their own natural aroma.
Which products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Tallow Body Cream contains beef tallow. Products containing beeswax are also not vegan. The full ingredient list shows the materials used in each product and variant.
Can you help me choose if I have sensitive skin?
We can help you compare the ingredient lists and scent options. Individual sensitivities vary, so patch test before regular use. For a known allergy or medical concern, review the formula with your healthcare professional.
Where is plastic still used in the packaging?
In the inserts that help prevent leaks in our jars, and in the Facial Serum cap. The deodorant tube is paper/cardboard, and the serum’s bottle and dropper are glass. The packaging section above gives the full breakdown.
